Bol Bol Excellent in Nuggets’ Win, Lou Williams on Fire

Clippers and Magic Spark the NBA Comeback

Even though it was just a scrimmage game, the contest between the LA Clippers and the Orlando Magic, draw enormous attention. Everybody wanted to see the first NBA game (even though it is not official) since March. In the end, the Clippers won 99-90.

Two of the best players among the winners were Lou Williams and Paul George, who dropped 40 points combined. Williams had 22, and George scored 18.

Williams spoke about the overall atmosphere on the court and around it because there were some effects that simulated the crowd, trying to make the entire experience more realistic.

“I heard the ‘defense’ chants, but once I was actually on the floor, I didn’t hear it, I didn’t feel it, I didn’t see it. I was locked in to the game,” he said. “I don’t know who that experience is for because there are no fans in the arena, but it definitely went well.”

Kawhi Leonard finished the night with 9 points. On the other side, Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards, with Michael Carter-Williams sitting behind with 16 points. 

Bol Bol Shines in Denver’s Unusual Lineup

Nikola Jokic played at the point-guard position, while Bol Bol appeared at the small forward for the Nuggets who probably had the tallest starting five in the recent history of the league. Apart from these two guys, starting five featured Paul Millsap, Mason Plumlee, and Jerami Grant. 

The Nuggets won against Washington, 89-82, with Bol Bol putting a superb performance, recording 16 points 10 boards and 6 blocks. 

“I’ve been working really hard, especially since I got here in the bubble,” he said. “I was just trying not to be nervous, and then everything would just come to me.”

Jokic did well as the point guard with 16 points and seven assists and rebounds each, indicating that Michael Malone could have multiple variations with him until the end of the year.

Rui Hachimura was the only one notable in the losing side with 18 points and 9 boards. 

Pelicans Trash Nets, Heat Defeats Kings

Zionless New Orleans ripped apart the Nets who played with just nine guys in the rotation. The final result of the game was 99-68. Rookie Nickeil Alexander-Walker had 14 points and 4 rebounds and assists and was the most efficient along with E’Twaun Moore, who had the same number of points. Brandon Ingram had 12 buckets.

For Brooklyn, Dzanan Musa recorded 11 points.

In the final event of the night, the Miami Heat took down the Sacramento Kings, 104-98. Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson were the ones who led their crew with the two rookies finishing the game as the top scorers. 

Robinson had 18 points and five three-pointers, and Herro ended the game with 15 and six rebounds. 

Among the Kings, Buddy Hield with 19, and Nemanja Bjelica with 13 were the best on the court. De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley, Richaun Holmes, and Harrison Barnes didn’t play.
