Wolfsburg Wins in Bremen

Werder needed a win in this clash to reach place No.16, which leads to Bundesliga’s playout. Third, in the second tier meets with whichever team finishes in this position, the winner from this matchup earns the spot in the top division of German soccer.

However, Werder lost this event to Wolfsburg, 0-1, and stayed second to the last in the standings, with just 25 points. Wolves, meanwhile, are now sixth and are occupying the place which leads to the Europa League. They, too, had to take all three points here, as they recently slipped out of the zone, which earns a place on the international stage.

Wout Weghorst, one of the best strikers in the league, scored the only goal in this match, in the 82nd minute. Prior to that, we saw a good game with several solid chances on both sides. It could be said that Werder had more of them, but the hosts didn’t have any luck.

Schalke Didn’t Win Since January

The Miners once again failed in their intention to secure three points. They played 1-1 with Union Berlin in the capital of Germany. All the action speaking of goals was ended after 15 minutes of play.

Union got the lead through Robert Andric in the 11th minute, and Jonjoe Kenny equalized just four minutes later with a nice shot from a distance.

The last time Schalke won was in January this season, and ever since they are just falling in the standings. The lucky thing for these guys is that they had a solid start of the season and that they secured enough points to be safe when it comes to the relegation battle. At the moment, the Miners have 38 points and are sitting 10th.

Union has 32, and they need to win at least once more until the end of the campaign to secure their status.

Augsburg and Koln Split One Point Each

For 86 minutes, there were no scores in Augsburg, and then in the span of 120 seconds, two occurred. Both sides netted once and earned one point, which is a fair outcome of this matchup according to all the pundits.

Four minutes before the end Modeste scored for the hosts, and Philipp Max made it one each in the 88th minute. After today’s game, Augsburg is 13th with 32 points, and they, as well as Union, have to win at least once to avoid direct relegation.

On the other side, Koln is one place ahead in the standings with three points more, and they are somewhat in a better position.

The no.1 place is reserved for Bayern Munich and Canada’s Alphonso Davies. After rolling over Bayer in Leverkusen, they have 71 points and are far ahead Borussia Dortmund with 64, and Red Bull Leipzig with 60. It is almost sure that the Bavarians and the young Canadian are going to be the champions, as they all need four points from the next four rounds to secure the silverware.
