- Manchester United defeated PSG in Paris 1-2.

History Repeating in Paris
Once again, Manchester United went home with a win from Paris, and although this wasn’t as important as the one from two seasons ago, it presents a massive success for the Red Devils.
Three minutes before the end of the regulations, Marcus Rashford hit the back of Keylor Navas’ net, propelling his crew to a 1-2 win, and bringing back the ghosts from the past for PSG’s fans.
“It’s a different feeling at the start of the group stages, but we’ve won against a fantastic team. Last time the euphoria was different, but still, the players were excellent,” said Solskjaer at the press conference.
The Norwegian manager earned a contract with United following a 1-3 sensation in the UCL round of 16 back in 2019. After 0-2 at home, the Red Devils made a stunning comeback that sealed his place as the new long-term solution at Old Trafford.
Last night’s game in Paris saw a lot of excitement, with Untied taking the lead from the penalty, which had to be repeated. Navas stopped Bruno Fernandes’ shot, but the referee saw the Costa Rican goalkeeper leaving the goal line, and he gave the Portuguese another chance. Of course, Fernandes used it in the best possible way.
The equalizer came with Anthony Martial, unfortunately, beating Davide de Gea early on in the second, and at that point, it seemed that the Saints might be coming back. Even though they pressured De Gea, the Spaniard made a couple of very good saves protecting his goal before eventually allowing Rashford to hit the jackpot.
In the second game of Group H, Red Bull Leipzig defeated Istanbul BB with 2-0, delivering two hits in the game’s opening phase and confidently keeping the lead.
Barcelona Smashes Ferencvaros, Immobile’s Revenge
Blaugrana opened the match a bit slow, but once they caught the rhythm, Blaugrana would trash the Hungarian champions, 5-1. Leo Messi, Ansu Fati, Coutinho, Pedri, and Dembele were the scorers for the hosts, who lost Gerard Pique midway through the second period due to a red card.
They are at the top of Group G with three points, the same as Juventus, who defeated Dynamo Kyiv on the road, 0-2, with Alvaro Morata scoring both goals.
Group F saw a derby in Rome, where Lazio defeated Borussia Dortmund, 3-1. Ciro Immobile scored an opening goal getting even with the former club, who didn’t give him a proper chance to show all of his qualities.
“It was an emotional night, playing UEFA Champions League football after so many years. We had a perfect match, we’re happy. Dortmund are a great side, we needed a great performance,” European Golden Boot for 2020 stated.
Lazio shares the leading place in that group with Club Brugge, who beat Zenit on the road, 1-2.
Chelsea and Sevilla ended their matchup without goals, while Rennes and Krasnodar played 1-1 in the other contest of Group E.
