- The German winger is one of the biggest talents in the world.
- Bundesliga champions are preparing a new team, and they already signed several deals with talented players among them Canada’s Alphonso Davies.
Bayern and Man City Finalizing the Deal
The most important sports news this morning comes from overseas. According to multiple sources from Europe, the five-time European champions are soon to land another extremely talented youngster. Leroy Sane reportedly accepted the terms offered by the German powerhouse, and it also seems, that two teams are very close to striking a deal between themselves.
Christian Falk, one of the most influential sports journalists in Germany, shared the news this morning on his Twitter account.
“Our Story: as soon as @FCBayern and @ManCity find an agreement, Sané will sign a five-year contract in Munich. Club and Player have reached an agreement @SPORTBILD,” he wrote.
The negotiations between the clubs are in progress, Early morning’s info was that Bayern opened the talks with an offer of €40 million and that they are ready to go up to €60 million to get the fantastic winger.
Sance arrived at Etihad Stadium in 2016, once City paid €52 million to Schalke 04. He would establish himself as one of the vital pieces in their back-to-back titles, and arguably the most influential players on the field alongside Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne.
He would win the Premier League Young Player of the Year award in 2018, and besides that, seven trophies with the Citizens. In 134 games, Sane netted 39 goals but created at least the same number. He became the regular member of the German national team, but unfortunately, injury stopped his meteoric progress.
He would tear his ACL in the FA Community Shield match against Liverpool after just 10 minutes played, and ever since, he didn’t appear on the pitch.
At the time, Bayern was also trying to sign the 24-year old, and the Germans were in talks with Man City throughout the entire summer.
Building a Team For the Future
After Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery left, the Bavarians are not so dominant as before. They are looking for replacements for the two legends, and Sane was their target right from the start.
The current team is on the decline, and fresh blood is needed, which is why the management already started to build the crew, which could extend the reign of this club in Bundesliga, and be competitive on the European stage.
Earlier this year, Bayern extended the contract with one of the most talented defenders in the world, Alphonso Davies, securing the Canadian’s stay until 2025. If Sane lands at Allianz Arena and the chances are suggesting that he would, these two players will become the cornerstones of the new generation.
Even though he is among the youngest players on the roster, Davies’ role is colossal, and he already established himself as an indispensable player for the coach Hansi Flick and his system of play.
Bayern advanced to the quarterfinals of the Champions League and is one of the top favorites for winning this competition.
