Heat Keep on Shining

Miami Heat are back in the NBA Finals after six years, as they eliminated Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals last night. The final result of Game 6 was 125-113 for the Heat, who once again had a superb finish in which they took down the rivals.

Boston managed to take the lead in the fourth, 96-90, with 9:15 left. That provoked a 16-2 burst from Miami’s side, and the game was solved.

“They’re super physical, super tough, very, very savvy. And I think they’re the best team in the East and deserve to be representing the East the way that they’ve played,” said Boston’s head coach Brad Stevens.

And really, Miami was looking far better than the Celtics in this series, and they proved that in the end. Stevens emphasized Bam Adebayo’s impact, claiming that the Heat center presented the biggest trouble for his side.

“After we had the lead, Adebayo — and credit all of them — but Adebayo decided he’s just going to drive the ball, put us in a real bind with the shooters around him.”

Bam played 39 minutes, shot 11-for-15 from the floor, missing just one of his 11 shots from the free-throw line, for 32 points, and 14 rebounds. On top of that, he had five assists and a steal.

“I let my teammates down in Game 5,” Adebayo said.

When talking about his teammates, Jimmy Butler was ideal support, dropping 22 points, with 8 assists leading the way when Adebayo couldn’t. Miami’s two jokers, Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro, both had their contribution. Robinson scored all of his 15 points from behind the arc, grabbing 6 boards.

Meanwhile, Herro had 19 buckets, with seven assists and five rebounds. Goran Dragic stopped at 13 points, but racked up seven assists.

Celtics Fail Once Again

Over the previous four years, Boston reached the conference finals three times and was eliminated in the semis once. In 2017 and 2018, they lost to Cleveland Cavaliers, last season, Milwaukee defeated them in the semis. It is a very frustrating situation for all of their fans who have high hopes from this unit.

Jaylen Brown scored 26 points last night, with 8 boards and four assists. Along with Tatum, he’s been the most consistent player of the Cs in this postseason. Tatum himself added 24 points with 11 dimes and 7 boards.

Marcus Smart had 20 points and 8 rebounds. Kemba Walker also scored 20 buckets, with five assists. The All-Star point guard didn’t meet the expectations he faces once coming to Boston and signing a massive contract at the start of this season.

One other big and expensive bust, Gordon Hayward had 12 points off the bench. A very important summer is ahead of Boston, during which they need to find a way to make a breakthrough and reach the finals; otherwise, this talented generation could be wasted.
