Man City’s Minimal Win Over Sheffield Utd, Real Madrid Powerfull vs. Huesca

City’s Tough Victory at Bramall

Pep Guardiola’s side had to work hard against the Blades, but they would outplay the feisty hosts without some particular problems. The final result of Saturday’s Premier League opener was 0-1 for the Citizens, with Kyle Walker scoring the only goal of the match.

It was a beauty from some 20 yards, with Kevin de Bruyne finding City’s right back outside the box. Walker would then aim at the bottom right corner of the goal before sending a laser-precise shot.

“I’m happy to get on the scoresheet and get the three points. United are well drilled, and it’s a tough team to come and break down,” he said.

It turned out to be the only score of the game, even though both sides had a few chances to change the result in the second half. The Sky-Blues controlled the match, and their best opportunity came in the 58th minute when Aaron Ramsdale stopped Riyad Mahrez’s shot.

Sheffield, on the other side, waited for a counter-attack. The hosts were near a goal during the middle of the second half. John Lundstram threatened, but his try was wide, and in the next attack, former Liverpool forward Ryan Brewster was in a one-on-one situation with Ederson but failed to convert that into a goal.

Man City is currently seventh in the standings with 11 points after six games. They had a bit of a slow start but are catching the rhythm as time goes by. They are without a loss for seven straight games, with four wins in the last five.

As for the Blades, they are second to the last with just one point, and they aren’t going to stay in the Premiership without some radical changes.

Real Confident Against Huesca

Los Blancos’ fans experienced all sorts of emotional ups and downs recently. Their favorites lost at home against Shakhtar then beat Barcelona on the road before playing 2-2 on the road against Borussia Monchengladbach.

But today, Real was more than convincing in its performance, beating Huesca with 4-1.

What makes the fans even happier is the fact that Eden Hazard scored, after 392 days. The Belgian international came back on the pitch as a starter after more than four months and immediately amazed everyone.

Real struggled to breach Huesca’s defense, up until the 40th minute, when Hazard hit the back of the net with a masterful shot from 25 yards. After that, it was much easier for the hosts, who would double the lead just five minutes after. Karim Benzema netted the first of his two hits, in the last minute of the first half, while his second came in the final moments of the second part of the contest.

In between, Valverde added one more hit for the Madridians, and David Ferreiro scored the only goal for the guests.
