Incredible Hamilton

Even though he began the race from sixth place, the Brit once again showed why many believe he might be the best driver in the history of F1. Hamilton won the race at Istanbul Park, posting his 10th win of the year and securing the seventh F1 title.

He is tied with Michael Schumacher, with the note that Hamilton seems perfectly capable of driving at this level for several years to come.

“It felt so far-fetched. I remember watching Michael win those world championships. To get one or two or even three is so hard,” the new/old champion said. “Seven is unimaginable. There is no end to what we can do together, me and this team.”

Turkish Grand Prix was extremely exciting due to the mixed weather conditions. Rain as falling in Istanbul over the past few days, which caused multiple incidents during the qualifiers and the race itself.

Hamilton didn’t shine at all, quite the contrary, he made several mistakes in the first half of the contest. However, following his visit to the pit lane, and change of tires, the situation completely changed, with the champ finding his usual rhythm.

Mercedes’ strategy was excellent as always, and once Lewis picked up consistency, there was no way for anyone on the track to stop him. The champ seized the lead in the 37th lap, taking over Perez, not looking back until the end.

With three races to go in the championship, Hamilton has 110 points more than the second-placed Valtteri Bottas, whom he left behind for the entire lap. That perfectly shows the dominance of the Brit in this campaign.

Sergio Perez Second, Vettel Reaches the Podium

Unlike his teammate, Lance Stroll, Sergio Perez was consistent, and he kept his second place from the qualifications. The two Racing Points diverse had one-two at the start, but somewhere along the road, Stroll’s vehicle lost pace and power, and the Canadian finished ninth in the end.

Sebastian Vettel was on the podium after a long time. The Ferrari’s star, who is experiencing one of the worst seasons in his pro career, finally had some reasons to be happy. With all that had been going on between him on one side, and the team and Charles Leclerc on the other, this was truly a breath of fresh air for the German.

“It is a bit of a surprise to snatch the podium, but I am certainly very happy,” Seb stated.

What made his podium even better is the fact that he took over the third position from Leclerc, which is a small victory in their personal war.

Carlos Sainz was fifth, Max Verstappen sixth, Alexander Albon and Lando Norris finished seventh and eighth, and Daniel Ricciardo completed the first 10.
