Lakers, Lebron, Dominate Miami Heat, Win the Title After Game 6 Win

  • Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA title, defeating Miami Heat in Game 6, 106-93.
  • LeBron James led the way with a triple-double, receiving the NBA Finals MVP award.
  • The Lakers got their 17th title, and LeBron intends to bring another one next year.

Confident Lakers

The purple and gold entered this contest very motivated, and they didn’t allow the Heat to have the slightest hopes of recording a victory tonight. LA imposed its tempo right from the tip-off, and they kept the same intensity until the end of the third quarter when it was obvious that Miami isn’t coming back.

“Laker Nation,” said Frank Vogel following the match. “We did it.”

And they did it with style, reaching a 30-point lead before the end of the first halftime, 64-34. This was a message to all that this year was all about them. Miami couldn’t compete with the fired-up James, who got a triple-double with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, and was in charge of the situation on the floor.

The second quarter saw the Lakers smashing the rival, scoring 36 points, limiting the Heat to just 16. Even it was halftime, many Lakers fans began celebrating the title already then. As time went by, the LAL slowly started to relax, but it was intentional, as Heat stood miles away from endangering their lead.

Bam Adebayo was the only notable figure in their team with 25 points and 10 boards, Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder had 12 each, and Duncan Robinson had 10. Butler added 8 dimes and 7 rebounds.

“We’re trending in the right direction,” he said. “We’re going to learn from this. We’re going to get better. We’re going to come back.”

LeBron Wins the Finals MVP Honors

With 29.8 points, 11.8 boards, 8.5 assists with 53% shooting from the field, and 50% for three, LBJ was, without any argument, the best player in the series. Furthermore, James was the best player of the Lakers throughout the entire season, and maybe even the MVP of the regular part of the year.

He was very unhappy with the voting results back then and didn’t hesitate to show that once again last night while celebrating.

“Our organization wants their respect. Laker Nation wants their respect,” James said. “And I want my damn respect, too.”

He is the only guy alongside Michael Jordan, who won four titles and has four Finals MVP awards.

James had massive help from his teammates last night. Anthony Davis had 19 points and 15 rebounds, Rajon Rondo added the same number of points and four assists and boards, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 17 buckets. All of the LAL players were very sharp and focused throughout this game.

LeBron already indicated that the Lakers want more, and that he too wants more title, as he feels capable of playing at the high level for a few more years.

That is it for this NBA season, and the following big thing for all the basketball fans is the NBA Draft set for November 18. It is the only certain thing, as nobody knows when is the start of the next campaign or the free agency.
