All the media reported this Sunday night that the New England Patriots and QB Cam Newton have agreed to sign a one-year incentive-laden deal. This story was revealed by several NFL journalists, among them Adam Shefter and Chris Mortensen.

“Former NFL MVP Cam Newton has reached agreement on a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the New England Patriots, league sources tell,” Shefter shared on his Twitter account.

The deal is suitable for both sides. New England has only $2 million in the salary cap, and they aren’t risking too much with Newton now.
